So you want to become a children’s entertainer?

posted November 11th, 2016

You might think that being a children’s entertainer is easy. You might think running a superhero party is something anyone can do. Truth is it’s a lot harder than you think.

You’re responsible for proving a lasting impression on a child’s birthday. It’s not every day that they meet their idol. Seeing their face light up with excitement is like no other feeling in the world. Is children’s entertainment for everybody? I’m afraid not. You need to be reliable, confident, work well with children and meet some tough expectations. So what do we look for?

Superheroes are renowned for their reliability, and we expect the same of our entertainers. This isn’t a job where you can call in sick. If you’ve agreed to do a party, then you really must follow through with that commitment. This does mean giving up your weekends, but what other job means you can dress up as Batman, a Jedi or even Harry Potter!

All our children’s entertainers are self-employed. They’re responsible for the amount of work they take on and ensuring they have everything needed for a great party. Controlling 30 children is no easy job. You’ll need to demonstrate leadership and initiative to make your party a success.

The superhero factor

Not everyone’s cut out to work with children. It’s more than just putting on the costume and playing games. You’ve got to have a genuine passion for entertaining children. Getting them all involved, making sure they have the most memorable time they’ve ever had. It helps if you know your superheroes too!

Not everything is on your shoulders. We provide extensive training and continuous support. We’ll also provide everything needed for a great party, including costumes, kit, props and prizes.

Being a children’s entertainer is a great job to fit around your daily work life, scheduling in parties when you choose. It’s also the most uniquely rewarding job you’ll ever do, there’s generally nothing quite like it. Especially when you receive feedback that the birthday boy or girl hasn’t stopped talking about how amazing you were. Be prepared to become addicted to wearing that costume and letting it shape who you are.

You can find out more about our kid’s parties by looking through our site. If you’d like to be considered as one of our entertainers please send a recent headshot and CV to

Harry Potter Sorting Hat

posted January 4th, 2016

The new Harry Potter sorting hat is on its way from America, so all would be wizards attending a Neverland wizarding party can be sorted into their Hogwarts houses. We hope in the future to sort out a microphone inside the hat to talk to the children – that would be so much fun! Also wondering about getting broomsticks for the balloon Quidditch game!
